HISTORY & MISSION

 
The Adventist Nursing & Rehabilitation Centre was set up after Youngberg Adventist Hospital was acquired by the Land Authority of Singapore for the construction of Woodleigh MRT Station. Initially conceptualized as a nursing home, it was redirected to serve as a day rehabilitation centre for stroke beneficiaries.
 
The centre was officially opened by Dr. Aline Wong, Senior Minister of State for Health and Education on Oct 9th 1998.

Objectives
 
To provide therapy for the rehabilitation of the disabled and handicapped to make them self-reliant.
 
To provide day care and rehabilitation for the sick and dependent elderly living alone or who have no one to care for them during office hours.
 
To teach care-givers, family members, helpers and friends proper methods of exercising and caring for the patient at home.
 
To educate patients, family members, friends and care-givers how to live healthy lifestyles as a prevention against recurrence of the illness and disease.
 
To love and care for all patients regardless of race, language, religion or economic status.
